Triathlon

I'm taking part in the Mazda London Triathlon on 9th August. This has been planned for some time and is something positive for me to look forward to, what with all the stress and blues over the last couple fo weeks. I'm doing this to raise some money for equipment at the project where I work. Now the building has been refurbished and there is an extra large common room for all the clients, we need to get some recreational materials in. Plans are for a pool table, table tennis, Nintendo Wii fit console and perhaps a bar football table. One or 2 folk mentioned that they were willing to sponsor me a while back, but bearing in mind the distance, it would be difficult to collect money, so I've set up a donation page with justgiving.com
I don't expect everyone to do this, but any little help will be gratefully recieved. There are 3 of us involved with the triathlon. I'm doing the 5k run while colleagues are involved with the cycling and swimming part.
The project had a short feature on local news on Sunday evening. You won't see me on it because it was one of the days I was off sick, unfortunately.
The news item is on the following link, if you are interested.

click on local news south east - last seven days and select Sunday evening bulletin. The bit about our project appears at the end of the 10 minute clip. By the way, you have to use internet explorer to view it because it doesn't work with other browsers... apparently. I got it corrupted when I tried to use Firefox.

I got through the whole working day yesterday without too many problems. Today is one of my days off and I've had a bit of a dip mood wise today, but hopefully this will improve over time.

Take care folks and God bless you all.

Marty
